Grand County Public Library Circulation Policy

Loan Periods

 New fiction books, videos/DVD & magazines - 7 days

All other circulating materials - 14 days

You are welcome to renew materials twice unless another patron has reserved that title.

   

To obtain a library card and use the Internet, you must present the following:

·          Completed library card application

·          Identification (picture ID)

·          Proof of a physical address in Grand County or with an 84532 zipcode

·          One-time fee of $1.00

·          New card holders have a limit of 2 items per card for 1 month

   

Please Note

·          Library patrons are responsible for all fines, damages, losses, and collection costs of library  materials.

·         There is a one-day grace period for overdue materials.

·        Fines are charged only for the days the library is open.

·          Fines for books are .10 per day/ per book.

·          Fines for videos and DVDs are .25 per day/per video or DVD.

·         Fines for audiotapes or books on CD are .10 per day/ per item.

·          A parent or guardian must accompany children to obtain a new library card.

·          A library card in good standing is required to checkout materials. A library card is considered “in good standing” if there are no items more than 28 days overdue, the total fine is less than $10.00, and there is updated contact information.
